Club Soda
To give flatware an instant shine, try placing it in a pan and cover completely with club soda. Let flatware sit until the carbonation bubbles stop popping.
Olive Oil
To remove streaks from your everyday flatware, add a few drops of olive oil to a clean cloth and rub over each piece. Then follow up with a second clean cloth to buff.
Toothpaste
To get rid of stubborn stains on flatware, squeeze a small dab of toothpaste (be sure it is paste – not gel) on a soft clean cloth and rub off the stains. Then you can wash as usual, rinse and dry.
Morton Salt
To remove stubborn egg stains from flatware sprinkle some salt on a damp sponge and rub on affected piece.
Bon Ami
Another great way to remove stubborn stains from flatware is to put some Bon Ami on a damp cltoh or sponge, rub off any stains and then wash as usual.
Vinegar
Vinegar is another great way to clean streaked flatware. Simply put a little vinegar on a clean cloth and wipe down each piece. This can also help remove heat stains.
